This project focuses on the typographic principles of syntax (form and structure) and semantics (making meaning).I was tasked to explore the relationship of type and image, as well as experiment with expressive approaches to typography and lettering that have been emphasized this semester.

 

The expanded focus in this assignment is on the narrative opportunities of a multi-page/multi-surface document and the interaction between two texts: a macro and a micro text. The micro view in your publication will be comprised of a sequence of events—such as a timeline of your personal history, or formative events OR a timeline of another subject. The macro view will be based on a more complex found text whose content/concept parallels a significant event or moment in your life or is relevant to the subject of your choosing.
